The third annual SeaSwell Peninsula Charity Walk is shaping up to be another great event. Like the past two years, there will be a 20km walk from Cape Schanck to Blairgowrie and a 10km walk from Rye Back Beach to Blairgowrie. This stunning walk is well worth it and the atmosphere on the is day vibrant.
The SeaSwell Peninsula Charity Walk is focused on Mental Health this year and all the money raised will go towards Headspace.
'Headspace Frankston is very excited to be involved in the 2015 SeaSwell Charity Walk. The southern peninsula region has been identified as a priority area for us, as it is home to a large population of young people and elevated levels of mental health issues. We currently run limited services from the YLounge on an outreach basis. All donations raised by the SeaSwell Charity Walk will be used to directly increase our capacity in the region, allowing young people increased and more timely access to services, programs and groups in their area. There is a definite need for further funding for mental health on the Southern Mornington Peninsula so this is the area that we will focus our efforts on this year'.
