The Philharmonic South West is a treasured community icon throughout the South West. Comprising of 45 volunteer musicians and a small professional core who live and work within the South West community, the PSW is an orchestra of and for the community.

This is a fabulous classical music event overlooking the beautiful Koombana bay sailing club at sunset. The PSW conducted by our accomplished musical director David Pye will entertain you with music by Gershwin, Beethoven and Mozart.

Professional flautist Sabine Kozlowski will be performing Mozart's Flute Concerto no 2 in D Major was composed in 1778 when Mozart was 22 years old. It was part of a commission for the Dutch flautist Ferdinand De Jean for which Mozart also completed another flute concerto and 3 flute quartets. At the time Mozart was in Mannheim and courting the opera singer Aloysia Weber and his joyful and amorous mood is reflected in this concerto.
